From outdoor environments to summer education to policy advocacy, PLAE leads numerous programs and projects that support its core mission.
ECHO
Working to ensure that every young child thrives in healthy outdoor environments every day.
ECHO (Early Childhood Health Outdoors) works in partnership with caregivers, communities, and policy makers, to transform early childhood settings and systems to ensure that every young child has opportunities to thrive in healthy outdoor environments every day.
As an original partner with Pogo Park, PLAE helped raise funds and provide designs to jump start this grassroots community effort in Richmond, California’s, underserved inner-city Iron Triangle neighborhood.
Creative summer programs integrating the arts, science, math, social studies and language teach children of all abilities how to build and manage their own town, create their own brand, and search for treasure. Several of the curricula have been published in PLAE Scores.
